Alex Marley
'23, electrical engineering and economics major
Described by mentors as humble, dedicated, easy to communicate with, and curious, Alex has focused his considerable intellectual and entrepreneurial energies on making an impact. During a stellar undergraduate career, he parlayed his interests in engineering, finance, investing, entrepreneurship, and research into several successful undertakings. A natural leader known for his initiative, Alex is co-founder and CEO of the $12.5 million dollar Dorm Room Fund (the first independent venture fund of its kind) and welcomed his role as the first control engineer of a food-tech startup while there on his co-op. A sense of global curiosity led him to Italy last summer and now to China as a Schwarzman Scholar for an immersive yearlong program. He will contribute to the intellectual engagement, professional development, and cultural exchange of his peers as he seeks to bridge entrepreneurship and engineering on a global scale. It is easy to see why he was named to the top 25 under 25 by BostInno.
