The chief inclusion officer is a cabinet- level role that is part of an institution-wide effort to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion and ensure that every member of the university community is supported on the path to success.
The Vice Provost for Faculty Diversity works with deans, chairs, and search committees with outreach efforts in developing talented and diverse applicant pools to ensure that the university has an excellent and diverse faculty and serves as a central resource for all faculty recruits and newly hired faculty in their transition to the Northeastern community. He/she/they also supports diverse faculty at different stages of their careers through a variety of programs and initiatives. Further, as a trusted advisor and integrative leader, he/she/they actively engages faculty to further behaviors, attitudes and policies that support diversity, equity, and inclusion.
The ODEI Director of Communications and Events works in collaboration with stakeholders across the global network to develop and disseminate communications, and to promote and support events that foster faculty, student, staff and community engagement aimed at advancing organizational diversity goals.
