The chief inclusion officer is a cabinet- level role that is part of an institution-wide effort to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion and ensure that every member of the university community is supported on the path to success.
The Vice Provost for Institutional Diversity & Inclusion works closely with units across Northeastern, creating partnerships to enhance all of the university’s functions that support diversity and efforts including talent management and development of programming.
The Vice Provost for Faculty Diversity works with deans, chairs, and search committees with outreach efforts in developing talented and diverse applicant pools to ensure that the university has an excellent and diverse faculty and serves as a central resource for all faculty recruits and newly hired faculty in their transition to the Northeastern community. He/she/they also supports diverse faculty at different stages of their careers through a variety of programs and initiatives. Further, as a trusted advisor and integrative leader, he/she/they actively engages faculty to further behaviors, attitudes and policies that support diversity, equity, and inclusion.
