The Senior Vice Provost for Research oversees Northeastern’s campus-wide planning efforts, and administrative and academic services with respect to research, research facilities, and the research institutes & centers at the University.
Prof. Trussell’s research program currently focuses on a number of important issues in evolutionary, community and ecosystem ecology. These interests are being explored in a number of systems including rocky intertidal shores, old fields, and freshwater amphibian communities.
At Northeastern, Kim will be charged with driving strategically important areas of research at the university, particularly supporting college research priorities, the interdisciplinary research institutes and the global network of Northeastern campuses as they build out their research programs.
Negotiation of terms and conditions applicable to research grants and contracts, material transfer agreements and non-disclosure agreements. Most recent accomplishment was to develop and implement a comprehensive training program for research administrators within the Partners HealthCare System.
