As the Director of Learning, Development and Student Success, Dr. Berry-Woods plans and executes the overall institutional DEI learning and training strategy for faculty, staff and students. In addition, the Director develops new, and scales existing, partnerships and strategies to increase the diversity and overall engagement and success of undergraduate and graduate students in support of institutional diversity and inclusion efforts.
Dr. Berry-Woods also co-develops and oversees the strategy to advance student diversity. This includes identifying and cultivating strategic external and internal partnerships with organizations and divisions that share these objectives. The Director also collaborates with other campus offices, external partners, and students to evaluate and scale existing programs and services; plans and coordinates diversity and inclusion conferences, training series, and signature programs; authors new materials; develops and gives presentations; and contributes content for promotional materials, social media posts, and training materials. The Director also develops and delivers training, identifies relevant speakers, guests, and experts for university-wide and divisional training. This includes assessing and anticipating ongoing training and learning needs, coordinating delivery of training and other learning opportunities, and directing rigorous evaluations of the effectiveness of all learning and development initiatives.
