The goal of the ombuds is to support fairness, equity, and humane treatment in the workplace.  She offers a confidential, impartial, and informal alternative for resolution of workplace concerns for faculty and staff.

To accomplish this mission, the Ombuds Office works with:


Helping faculty and staff, and those who work with them, to approach workplace problems constructively. The ombuds helps individuals to sort through problems and concerns, identifies options and resources, makes referrals to appropriate university resources, coaches individuals in effective conflict resolution skills, and facilitates dialogue.


Identifying problems and interests, and facilitating constructive resolution of differences. The ombuds can provide informal mediation and training.
