Northeastern University receives Inclusive Excellence Award from Howard Hughes Medical Institute

The institutional research (IR) team of UDS contributed greatly to the $1 million Howard Hughes Medical Institute (HHMI) grant recently received by two NU professors.  IR provided data that served as the backdrop for the pre-proposal to the proposal.  This grant will focus on diversity and inclusion in the natural science fields.
“HHMI has selected 24 schools in the first round of the Inclusive Excellence initiative, a program that aims to help increase the capacity of colleges and universities to effectively engage all students so that they can be successful in science, especially undergraduates who enter four-year institutions via nontraditional pathways.”
Further information on the grant is available from HHMI.
