Student spotlight: Sheril

Sheril, COE’17, is a well-rounded student and a go-getter who left her mark at Northeastern University and graduated this May.

Her profound knowledge of technical specifications: designing, developing, and maintaining software, was well recognized at Northeastern. In addition to her studies, she worked as a Graduate Assistant to the Data Administration team in University Decision Support, where she exceeded expectations.

Prior to beginning her master’s program at Northeastern, Sheril worked as a Senior Software Engineer for almost four years. She has a background in Electrical Engineering, receiving her BS from the University of Pune in Maharashtra, India. After graduation, Sheril gave back to her community by serving as a Teaching Volunteer at Bhumi, a large nonprofit organization in India, providing education in mathematics to underprivileged children.

Her long term goal is to work in the field of engineering with the desire to take on exciting and challenging opportunities. Sheril’s charisma, passion, and determination will lead her to a bright future.

Congratulations and good luck, Sheril, from everyone at UDS!
