Senior Vice Provost for Institutes, Centers, and Impact Engines

Srinivas Tadigadapa is the Senior Vice Provost for Institutes, Centers, and Impact Engines. He is responsible for creating and executing a strategic plan for institutes, centers, and impact engines, providing oversight for their operations, and offering guidance and strategic leadership to new and existing initiatives.

Prior to joining the Provost’s Office, Srinivas was Professor and Chair of the Electrical and Computer Engineering department at Northeastern University. During his tenure as Chair, he oversaw the department’s exceptional growth, resulting in an increase in research funding from 23 million to approximately 45 million, as well as the founding of three university-wide interdisciplinary institutes.

Throughout his career, Srinivas has published over 200 peer-reviewed papers and is the inventor of ten patents. Previously, he was a Professor of Electrical Engineering and Biomedical Engineering at Pennsylvania State University and Vice President of Manufacturing Integrated Sensing Systems Inc.

He is the recipient of the Alexander von Humboldt fellowship in Germany and the Walton fellowship in Ireland. He is a Fellow of the IEEE, The Institute of Physics, Senior Member of the National Academy of Inventors, and a Life-Fellow of the Cambridge Philosophical Society. He was the founding Editor-in-Chief of IEEE Sensors Letters journal and the recipient of the IEEE Sensors Council’s Meritorious Service Award in 2020. Over the last five years, he has been a regular attendee of ECEDHA meetings and has served as the Chair of the ECEDHA Northeast Section in 2018 – 2019.
