Carolyn Bargoot

Deputy Provost

Biography

Carolyn Bargoot is the deputy provost at Northeastern, a role in which she provides day-to-day leadership and strategic planning and oversight of all functional areas in the Office of the Provost, including communications, budget and planning, human resources (non-faculty), external reporting, and major academic facilities projects. In addition, she provides oversight and coordination of all aspects of the administrative support resources in the office. 

Prior to Northeastern, Bargoot worked at Boston College where she served in several administrative roles in the Controller’s Office, the Office for Sponsored Programs, and the Office of the Provost. She previously worked for Liberty Mutual Insurance and Johnson and Johnson. She earned her MBA from the D’Amore-McKim School of Business at Northeastern and her undergraduate degree at Babson College.
