Margarita DiVall
Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs
Biography
Dr. Margarita DiVall is Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs, Senior Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs in the Bouvé College of Health Sciences, and a Clinical Professor at the School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. In the Office of the Provost, she provides broad support for faculty across Northeastern’s global network. Her scholarly interests include assessment and psychometrics in health professions education, faculty affairs and workload equity, and interprofessional education.
Dr. DiVall earned her PharmD and MEd degrees from Northeastern University and completed a PGY1 pharmacy practice residency at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. She is widely recognized as a leader in exam quality and assessment methodology, with expertise in question writing, test blueprinting, and psychometric analysis, and has delivered workshops on these topics at pharmacy schools nationwide.
Dr. DiVall is actively involved with the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP), serving in several elected positions, including as the President during 2026-2027. She is the recipient of multiple AACP honors, including the Award for Excellence in Assessment (2011, 2016), the Lyman Award (2025), and the Assessment SIG Collaborative Assessment Scholarship Award (2020, 2021, 2023, 2024). Dr. DiVall is a Board-Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist and a Distinguished Practitioner Fellow of the National Academies of Practice. She is a member of Rho Chi and Phi Lambda Sigma and serves as a faculty advisor to the Northeastern University Phi Delta Chi chapter.
