Srinivas Tadigadapa
Senior Vice Provost for Institutes, Centers, and Impact Engines
Biography
Srinivas Tadigadapa is the senior vice provost for Institutes, Centers, and Impact Engines. He is responsible for creating and executing a strategic plan for institutes, centers, and impact engines, providing oversight for their operations, and offering guidance and strategic leadership to new and existing initiatives.
Prior to joining the Office of the Provost, Srinivas was professor and chair of Northeastern’s electrical and computer engineering department . During his tenure as chair, he oversaw the department’s exceptional growth, resulting in an increase in research funding from $23 million to approximately $45 million, as well as the founding of three university-wide interdisciplinary institutes. Throughout his career, Srinivas has published more than 200 peer-reviewed papers and is the inventor of 10 patents. Previously, he was a professor of electrical engineering and biomedical engineering at Pennsylvania State University and vice president of Manufacturing Integrated Sensing Systems Inc. He is the recipient of the Alexander von Humboldt Fellowship in Germany and the Walton Fellowship in Ireland. He is a fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, The Institute of Physics, senior member of the National Academy of Inventors, and a life-fellow of the Cambridge Philosophical Society.
