The Senior Vice Provost for Academic Affairs oversees faculty recruitment and hiring, faculty mentoring and development, the tenure and promotion process, and other policies and procedures bearing on faculty roles and responsibilities.
The Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs will be responsible for a number of faculty-facing responsibilities, including the oversight of the sabbatical process, faculty leaves, faculty development funds, and awards. The Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs will also oversee the implementation of the new software system to manage the tenure and promotion process.
The University Ombuds promotes fairness, equity, justice, and humane treatment in the workplace. She offers a confidential, impartial, and informal alternative for resolution of workplace concerns for faculty and staff.
ADVANCE Office of Faculty Development oversees, creates, and assesses faculty development programs while serving as a resource to interested parties on the Northeastern University campus. The office assists faculty and administrators in accomplishing departmental, college, and university goals with respect to faculty recruitment, retention, mentoring, and advancement.
