Dr. O’Shea joined Northeastern University in March 2020 as the inaugural Director of Institutional Assessment and Evaluation. Prior to this role, she served as the Director of Institutional Effectiveness at Delaware County Community College (Pennsylvania) and the Director of Institutional Research and Planning at Cape Cod Community College. At CCCC, Dr. O’Shea was responsible for strategic planning, institutional research, assessment and accreditation. She was the primary author and co-chair of the 2014 Strategic Plan and the 2018 NECHE 10-year reaccreditation self-study. She had previously worked in the nonprofit sector as the research and planning director for two “umbrella” non-profit organizations in Newark, New Jersey, and has served on the faculty of College of St. Elizabeth, Upsala College and Montclair State University in New Jersey.
Dr. Maureen O’Shea is a developmental/educational psychologist with extensive experience in teaching, applied research and strategic planning. She earned a BA from Princeton University and a Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology from the Graduate Center of CUNY.
